Free forex bar replay

Bar replay takes you back to a date in the past and plays the chart forward, one candle at a time, so you can practice a trade without knowing what comes next. On TradeFlux it is part of the free plan: you need an account, not a card.

How it works

• Pick a market and a date, then press play. The chart moves forward the way it did back then.
• Step one candle at a time, or run it at the speed you choose.
• Buy and sell with demo money as it goes, with a stop loss and a take profit. Nothing real is at risk.
• Big news, like interest rate decisions and jobs reports, appears at the exact time it happened.
• Every trade is saved to your journal automatically, so you can review what you did.

What the free plan includes

• Forex, metals, indices and commodities.
• Replay going back 1 year, on the 1 hour, 4 hour and daily timeframes. Live charts on the free plan have every preset timeframe.
• Up to 10 open demo positions at a time.
• Journal, strategies and analytics, with monthly limits (10 journal entries a month, 2 strategies, the last 30 days of analytics).

What needs a paid plan

Replaying further back than 1 year, replaying on shorter timeframes such as 1 minute and 5 minutes, and custom timeframes are on the paid plans, along with crypto and synthetic indices. Current prices are on the pricing page. There is no separate trial: the free plan is the way to try it.

Who it is for

Traders who want to rehearse a strategy on real price history before using real money, and to find out whether it holds up. It is a practice tool. It is not a broker, it gives no signals, and demo results do not predict what will happen with real money.
